Dec 2007
• Sue Ryder Care held a “Lights of Love, Walk & Celebration” at Cuerden Hall to raise vital charity funds. We supported this local event by supplying savoury goods for use at the hot supper and donated 25% from the takings of our stall.

Nov 2007



• Attended the Lancashire BEA Environmental Awards and “won” the prestigious Health & Safety Award thanks to the hard-work and dedication of our internal H&S Committee.

• Started a stricter recycling regime and purchased an automatic mini bailer to help us with this task. In just 4 weeks we’d reduced the amount that we send to landfill by over 30%.
• New style of Driver’s uniforms was issued.

Oct 2007
• We were nominated by Workplace Connect to enter the Health & Safety Category because of our H&S achievements over the year. So we submitted our entry and kept our fingers crossed.
• We entered the North West Baker Fair at Bolton Arena and won a staggering 8 prizes including 2 first prizes. See editorial and picture in Wigan News link
• Held a staff party in recognition of their hard work and dedication to the business by helping us achieve 25 years in the bakery business.

Sept 2007
• We became a member of Made in Lancashire (MiL). The Group is dedicated to supporting/ promoting local food and drink producers in Lancashire.
• Tony Bain gave a baking demonstration to the pupils at The Coppice School in Bamber Bridge (a school which caters for children with physical & learning disabilities).

July 2007
• We supported the local Upholland Church by donating bread for their 700th celebration and fete.

May 2007
• We held a successful “Speciality Bread Tasting Day” at our Leyland Shop. With the help of one of our suppliers Zeelandia we demonstrated new healthy bread lines.
